Is Kinetic free?
Yes. The timer, categories, tasks, and stats are free with no ads and no account required.
Do I need to sign in?
No. Kinetic needs no account to use — everything runs in your browser once the page is loaded. Signing in is optional and only unlocks syncing your focus stats across devices.
What happens to my data if I sign in?
Only your focus stats and completed tasks sync to your account, protected so only you can read them. If you never sign in, nothing ever leaves your browser.
Does it work offline?
Mostly. Once loaded, the timer, your tasks, and your stats all keep working with no connection. Reloading the page does need one, though — we don't cache the app for full offline loading yet. If you're signed in, anything earned offline syncs automatically once you're back online.
What are the category presets?
Work (15 min focus / 5 min break / 15 min long break), Study (30/10/20), and Creative (50/15/30). Every duration in every category can be customized and resets independently.
Can I use Kinetic on my phone?
Yes, in your phone's browser. The layout adapts down to mobile widths. There's no dedicated app yet.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Use the "Got feedback?" prompt inside the app. It's the fastest way to reach the developer directly.
